Kspace Winter Camp 2009
December 14th ~ 22nd ~ December 31st

Winter is fast approaching and here at Kspace we are getting ready to spread some winter warmth with our wonderful Winter Camp programme for 2009. This year promises to be the best year yet! with every floor of our 5 story complex completely transforming into a winter wonderland the children are guaranteed to never run out of exciting activities.

Learning in a fun, safe environment is our main criteria and thanks to our energetic, creative and very experienced team our kids go home every day with broad smiles, great craft and a real eagerness to return. With children returning every year to see us, we are confident that they are having a whale of a time with Kokomo.

Throughout the three weeks of Winter Camp our Jack Rabbits (16 months to 3 years), Penguins (3 to 4 years) and Polar Bears (4 to 6 years) will be entertained, educated and excited as we explore these fun filled themes.

Jack Rabbits (16 months to 3 years) can attend from 9:00am to 1:00pm for ¥9,600, Penguins (3 to 4 years) can attend from 9:00am to 2:00pm for ¥11,250 and Polar Bears (4 to 6 years) can attend from 8:45am to 2:45am for ¥13,000. Children may also also join our breakfast club ( 8am to 9am ) and/or extension hours at very reasonable fees. (For all groups: Extension hours ¥1,500/hr, Breakfast Club: 8:00 am to 9:00 am ¥1,000.)

ADDITIONAL SPECIALIST PROGRAMS
E.S.L. 3-day Workshops
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday every week of Winter Camp.
Join our E.S.L. specialists for special sessions. These classes will run every week over Winter Camp on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Book in early as these tend to fill up quickly.

Advanced Maths Workshops
Thursday and Friday of week 1 and then every Thursday for the rest of Winter Camp.

Advanced Maths has always been an after school favorite during our regular term and this Winter Camp looks to build even further on this classes popularity. Much, much more than worksheets and rote learning our Advanced Maths classes are packed full of fun games, challenges and practical problems that teach math principles with real world examples. Get in early as this one class sure to fill up quickly!

Advanced Phonics Workshops
Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays the first two weeks of Winter Camp.

Join us for a special group of sessions aimed at the higher end of Phonic Development.
Children who are already reading and are able to recognise some phonic blends can benefit a great deal in this class. We use a tried and trusted formula to build vocabulary, swift phonic recognition and pace- as well as keeping children and enthused and parents in-the-know. Teacher-parent feedback is excellent and this class offers an exclusive, tutorial style of teaching.

SPEAK OUT LOUD WINTER WORKSHOP
14th- 18th December 9 a.m. ~ 3 p.m.
"With so many children holding English as a second language in this ever-increasingly international world, it’s difficult to stay ahead of the rest of the pack. With school interviews and other life situations coming their way, children need to be as ready as possible. At Kspace, we have designed a class that not only caters to these needs, but also builds on their confidence, encouraging them to use their English in front of others."

Our "Speak Out Loud" programme has been running for about three months now and the children who attend have been showing real results. Due to popular demand we are going to be running a "Speak Out Loud Winter Workshop" over winter school. Isaac, who is in charge of the regular Aspace programme, will be leading the workshop. It will be running from the 14th of December until the 18th of December and promises to be a lot of fun for the children. Please get in touch if you are interested in joining the week as spaces are limited to keep the class at an ideal size.

Please Note:

(a) There is no joining fee for existing Kspace Members and a ¥4,000 fee for non-members. New memberships paid allow full access to regular Kspace programmes.
(b) Children do not have to be enrolled for the whole period. Please feel free to construct your own schedule
(c) There are no make-up dates given for sickness or absence. Once a specific date has been booked you may only change your attendance subject to availability
(d) No refunds or make-up class can be offered for any reason.
