ART (Early Art Through the Senses)
Our little toddlers may grow up to be famous artists…., but right now what they really want to do is ‘experience’ the art materials! To them, it is magical and fun, and it is hard to keep them within rules and guidelines at home. Our Early Art course is designed to allow the children to mp4e through the strong desire that they have to actually touch and feel the paints, whilst teaching them early basics.
We provide an unlimited supply of beautiful paints, glue and materials, and teach the children how to use it with a range of fascinating tools. The focus is on experiencing art through the senses and the course includes:
Texture - adding tissue paper to paint and glue
Sound - drum painting, pitter patter rain drops of rice falling, crumpling paper and other noises
Temperature - ice painting, warm water colour mixing
Sight - colour mixing and contrasts/opposites, sparkle, 3D effects
Movement - splattering, throwing, riding a bicycle through paint, painting with long sticks, painting with brushes dangled from string
This is a fabulous class for little ones and exposes them to new experiences that we guarantee they won’t get anywhere else.

MATI’S ART CLASSES
Monday – 2.00pm to 3.00pm (3 to 5 years)
Wednesday – 3.00pm to 4.00pm (3 to 7 years)
This Art Class is unlike any other!
Beautifully designed and executed by our Creative Arts Curriculum Advisor, Mati, this class has to be seen to be believed!
The objective of these workshops is to explore materials and textures, mp4ement and sound and to get involved in creating collective pieces of artwork.
There are 17 completely unique, mind blowing projects where children are taking on a fascinating journey that encourages them to open their minds to a whole new world of art. Each project tells a story, is connected with sound, smell, emotion and music, and is a multi-sensory experience. One of the most important elements of this class is that we stress the importance of the process (and enjoyment of the creating) over just the result. There is no right or wrong way of doing things and the children’s unique talents are celebrated.
Art is a way to encourage creative problem solving and also for expression.
Projects include:
-The changing colours and crazy eating habits of chameleons
-The giant ‘Scrap-Tree’ that completely overtakes the classroom
-Evolving paintings on gigantic ice blocks
- The wriggly-slimy clay anaconda
…to name but a few!
Parents from far and wide enquire about this amazing course and Mati’s children’s art has drawn crowds of interested spectators when we have displayed it outside.
If you would like to give your child an unforgettable experience that they may remember for the rest of their lives – this is the perfect course!
