A wonderful addition to the day for:
- Our preschool/kindy children who need an hours’ extension to their day
- Tspace children waiting for older siblings/parents running late for collection
- Tspace children staying on for later Aspace (after-school) classes
- Children who are not part of our preschool/kindy, who may want to join us early if they are attending after-school classes that begin from 3.00pm
This is a handy slot in the day when we can assist in making your home schedule run more smoothly, with the guarantee that your child is still fully absorbed.
Tspace children can go to ‘Aspace Club’ to avoid the rush of mums and classmates at school collection time. They are taken out of their regular class a little early and will join other ‘Aspace Clubbers’ so that they can snack together, sing, and enjoy fun ’n’ games.
Aspace children joining us from outside (for a 3.00pm start) can come along early and enjoy a time bonding with their friends, resting after their journey to us, and preparing for their special Aspace class/classes. If your child is enrolled for two Aspace classes (from 3.00pm to 5.00pm) having the extra hour extension gives mummy a little bit more time between drop-off and collections!
What Happens at Aspace Club?
Activity tables are laid out with a mixture of puzzles, games, and phonics related materials. Your child can also take a favourite toy/book/puzzle from a classroom with them if they wish, and there is a book corner. The club has a relaxed atmosphere and is set against a backdrop of music and song.
The children can relax and play freely, however they are supervised and teachers are there to guide them.
Snack: Please bring a piece of fruit/something light. More substantial snacks can be ordered in advance from Kiwi Kitchens.
