Although children’s bodies are very ‘soft’ and pliable, flexibility isn’t something that we can take for granted. In today’s environment our bodies need all the help they can get and exercise needs structuring into the day, for adults AND children!
Children run a round a lot and it’s great that they keep moving – our gymnastics class is designed to take things to the next level and improve strength, flexibility and coordination through gymnastics and early sports skills. As the children succeed in new postures and movements they grow more adventurous and willing to tackle new challenges.
Content
The course includes a warm-up/stretch, followed by a range of fun, structured and well assisted movements that follow animal-like characters…tumbling, hand stands, cartwheels and wheelbarrows all make an appearance. All movements are demonstrated first and built up to gradually via practice steps and stages.
The children’s safety and limitations are taken into consideration at all times.
