Speak Out Loud
Ideal for children aged 4 to 6 years old

With so many children holding English as a second language in this ever-increasingly international world, it’s difficult to stay ahead of the rest of the pack. With school interviews and other life situations coming their way, children need to be as ready as possible. At Kspace, we have designed a class that not only caters to these needs, but also builds on their confidence, encouraging them to use their English in front of others.

Through role-play situations, question and answer sessions and other games that involve the children speaking out loud, our focus is to get them used to possible “pressure” situations. With guest teachers joining the Key Teacher each week, it gives the children an opportunity to talk with someone that they aren’t so familiar with, building on those vital skills.

The course will also draw from multi-media areas too with children interviewing each other and recording each others answers on film, with their very own video equipment. The children will also get the chance to talk to each other via the internet, skyping each other from different parts of the building. We have learnt from families at the school that communicating over a “webcam” is a skill that will be more and more applicable.

The class will begin at the beginning of term and will run for 10 weeks. Classes will be kept at a maximum of 5 children, making sure that they get the individual attention they need. If you are interested in signing up for the class, please contact us for further information.
