We have a range of classes and outlets in which you can learn, laugh and share with your baby and other parents. Friendly teachers and a great family atmosphere, we strive to provide a 'little bit of the 'best of home', in Tokyo.

Kspace has an International, unpretentious, open atmosphere and we extend a special welcome to all families. Kspace Mother & Child programmes offer parents (including dads of course!) the opportunity to 'roll up your sleeves' and have fun with your child!

We have a very unusual approach to entertaining the children and our teachers are simply mesmorising. Their unique style is almost infamous and we keep the adults as giggling and enthralled as the children! Kspace does have a serious side too and much research and planning go into our lessons.

Age Groups:

Wrigglers - (Approximate ages (2- 8 months)

The kaleidoscope of life starts to make sense to Wrigglers, whose visual focus now begins to coordinate with head and body movements. Rolling and wriggling, these Wrigglers sit upright, reach to grasp objects and play games, such as 'peek-a-boo'. Kspace provides an enriched programme so that Wrigglers learn through sight, sound, touch and gentle movement. They also develop music and language awareness through an integrated programme of songs and activities.

Crawlers - (Approximate ages 6- 14 months)

As babies near their first-year milestone they can understand much of the world around them and Crawlers are eager to explore! Sitting, crawling, learning to stand, using sounds and gesture to communicate, Crawlers love a challenge. Our fast-moving programme of music, movement and group activity provide fun and essential stimuli. The flexible Crawlers programme encourages progress, while nurturing and supporting all children by focusing on individual needs.

Walkers - (Approximate ages 10-19 months)

No longer babies; Walkers are discovering self-sufficiency and self-expression. Walkers can scribble with a pencil, are learning to run, turn pages of a book, and may have a vocabulary of 10-20 words. Exciting new skills are being constantly tried .and tried again! Walkers are beginning to coordinate music and movement, and through our colourful programme children discover the infinite joy and possibilities of song and play.

Runners - (Approximate ages 16-26 months)

Runners tend to be energetic and confident. Emotionally, Runners are both independent and anxious, constantly testing boundaries and looking for good role models. Our Runners programme balances old and new games and exercises. We encourage cooperation between children through movement, songs, stories and freedom of imagination!

Minglers - (Approximate ages 2-4 years)

The 2 years plus group is called the 'Minglers' because in this group the emphasis is on social skills! Joining together music and movement skills already learned, with a range of more elaborate activities, with a purpose, we have created a perfect session of fun and learning. Kspace uses music, drama, storytelling and craft time to promote confidence and learning, and help children to develop rapidly and happily.

Mother and Child Pre-Kindy Programme
(16 months to 3 years old) Kspace Mummy & Me Programme!!

Little Bugs, Kindy- Prep Classes

A parent and child interactive workshop that will give you and your children a superb induction to pre-school. This is a mummy & me programme for children aged 16 months to 3 years: where you can spend time with your child in a pre-school setting.

This two hour programme will give our toddlers an opportunity to experience a real preschool environment. Our unique Kspace curriculum has been put together by Tspace Teachers from all of our age groups. Tspace stands out from others as our core teachers are exceptional and this is obvious as soon as you see them in action. Learning is fun and curriculums are brought to life at Kspace, where we are very proud of our team

From our smallest learners to the most active of three year olds-our Little Bugs programme will benefit all.

Content

Our emphasis is always on building the children's confidence and knowledge via fun - sessions include music, art, early numeracy and literacy. In an upbeat class based atmosphere our superb Kspace teachers deliver a colourful array of lessons, with focus on enhancing your children's growing ability to concentrate and focus.

Periods may also be spent on the roof - dependant upon the theme/weather/mood of the class.

New vocabulary, early phonics/games (derived from our Early Literacy programme called Jolly Phonics)

Art Skills

Snack Time (children are given responsibilities and are encouraged to help)

Cookery/Japanese (programme differs on Tuesday and Friday)

Story Time and Farewell

The stories, art projects and games covered will differ on Tuesdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays we will enjoy a cookery activity and this will be replaced by Japanese language/culture/games on Friday. Children benefit greatly from regular attendance.

Scheduling: Tuesdays for a whole 2 hours! 2.45pm until 4.45pm.
