Our Teachers
The value of the bond between teacher and child is a much undersold thing. When we use phrases like ëwe take care ofí and ëwe loveí your children we say it with sincerity!
At Kspace we choose all of our teachers carefully. Teachers for Chrysalis are extremely well loved and have been selected for their sense of fairness, as well as their charisma and vocational skills. They provide the children with a perfect balance of freedom and clear guidelines ñ Chrysalis children are at an age where they look greatly to their peers for social pointers and we are here to show them the way.

Chrysalis Curriculum
For these children success is achieved through brain stimulation and restÖÖbrain stimulation and rest Öbrain stimulation and rest: Balance is the key!
Chrysalisís time is well divided between focused study and directed play. Our curriculum for this age group still leans heavily towards an art and music based programme, with more class based activities introduced as the children move towards Butterfly age.
Children enjoy art sessions, music appreciation and movement, gym time, free play, peer massage, outdoor play, Japanese language & culture lessons, pre-literacy development (in the form of games, puzzles, art tasks, strengthening of fine and large motor skills) and worksheets.
Before we embark on a course of reading and writing tasks we must do the groundwork with our children. In our Chrysalis classes will be working through activities that build;
• Perception of pattern
• Awareness of the relationship between pattern and letter
• An awareness of direction
• Tracing
• Eye-hand coordination
• Concentration building
Each of these skills are developed in a relaxed atmosphere.
